چکیده
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic and hormonal disorder in which the body does not produce sufficient or respond ordinarily to insulin, leading an increase blood sugar (glucose) levels. This disordered has many side effects on health, one of them being oral health. study aimed find these several immune parameters included (IL6, CRP, alpha-amylase) possible use prediction health further risk sequel. A total 91 specimens including 51 DM patients 40 apparently healthy individuals were enrolled this was carried out from November/2021 February/2022. The results revealed that, abnormal both IL6 CRP saliva experimental groups, with no significant differences between them. Simultaneously, alpha-amylase shows increases patient's group than control. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis Area under curve (AUC) confirmed that can be used as predictor parameter reflected

Although Salivary Alpha Amylase (SAA) has been investigated during past thirty years as a biomarker of stress, still remains certain doubt regarding its utility. Additionally, there has been a lot of debate whether SAA reflects sympathetic activity solely, however, recent data suggested that this is unlikely due to the parasympathetic activity which innervates salivary glands whose product is S...

Saliva is an interesting alternative diagnostic body fluid with several specific advantages over blood. These include non-invasive and easy collection and related possibility to do repeated sampling. One of the obstacles that hinders the wider use of saliva for diagnosis and monitoring of systemic diseases is its composition, which is affected by local oral status. However, this issue makes sal...
